in the past 10 years i've executed information graphics for both fun and profit. and in that time i've learned two things (more, i'm sure, but these two are the important ones right now). first, these things can take a long time. lots of research, lots of data, lots of thinking. second, i don't do enough of them.

so that's what this experiment is all about. by creating one graphic every day i hope to accomplish several things. first and foremost is repetition. nothing makes you better like doing something over and over and over... second, and this will be tough, more style and less data. i can spend hours collecting and sifting thru numbers, but not here. and lastly, i'd hope that some of what i explore here will lead to larger, more complex ideas to play with.
